By Louise Jones

 Cruise Reviews

Antigua is the largest island among the Leeward Islands of Caribbean. Its natural beauty mesmerises the visitors. The unblemished beaches and the colourful coral walls fascinate the visitors. Neighbouring islands of Antigua are Montserrat, Guadeloupe, Nevis, and St. Martin. It possesses all the accoutrements for a thrilling trip to Antigua. The coral reefs of Antigua attract the scuba divers, and snorkelers from all over the world. One of the thrilling activities is to swim with the dolphins.

Adventure is not limited to water. The excursions of off-coast deserted islands have everything thrilling, and adventurous in it. One of the activities during Antigua holidays is windsurfing. Moreover, the other famous activities include fishing, sailboats, and fishing. The hotels in Antigua provide many indoor sports activities like tennis. This place is rich in natural splendour. Therefore, bird watching, and horse riding are also famous activities.

Like the daytime, this island is very beautiful, and active in the dark. Unlike many other islands, they do not rely on their hotels; they are nightclubs in themselves. Here the life starts late night. The bigger dance club for the hip-hop young tourists is Ribbit. It is a very large club consisting of many rooms, and several clubs. You just wear up your favourite outfits like skintight attires, and join them in the fun.

The other hot spot is Cats. This glitzy club provides you comfortable air-conditioned dancing rooms. During the Antigua holidays, you can also experience the local clubs like Web. The locals know these clubs better, as compared to the visitors.

Antigua holidays have much more entertainment. There are big bars like Big Banana where you can enjoy the reggae sounds, and the music by the favourite artist. He sings strums, and entertains the visitors through out the stay time. A Shirley Height is another famous place. It is the 18-century fortification near English Harbour. It is one of the best visits during your Antigua holidays. It really jams at the late nights. This is the place where you can have barbeque, drinks, and fantastic music.

The trendiest place of the island is the Abracadabra. Here after 11 pm the crowd comes out of the wood works with the drinks. They dance the whole night on the deck to the Euro sounds. Antigua presents two main casinos. It offers many gaming tables, and other slots. In the town, there is the Kings casino. It boasts the largest slot machine of the world. Here are many other sophisticated, and European designed night casinos like St. James Club. It has many slot machines, but no tables.

During your Antigua holidays, the Friday nights are the blasts for the sports minded people. The Temo's bar present a tennis, and a squash club. People are invited to throw their hat in the ring for an evening of round- robin tennis. There are many other sophisticated places such as the Antigua community players. They sponsor musical programmes, original plays, and productions.

Whenever you plan to step out in the evening, the Dickenson Bay is the marvellous evening scene. There is plenty of lounge entertainment. Here you can go in your casual dresses. In this area, the Peek into Putters is the top most singles spot. This spot attracts the people of all the ages. Therefore, the island promises a lot of fun during the Antigua holidays.
