  About Carnival in the British Virgin Islands     

Carnival is celebrated in the British Virgin Islands mainly in Tortola. It is a celebration for the emancipation of the islands' African slaves. It is a two-week affair of colour noise, calypso, and steel bands. Pageants and floats are in the streets and everyone have a great time.
