Calgary Carifest Caribbean Festival
Calgary, Alberta, Canada
6/9/2007 - 6/17/2007 (Where's the current dates?) Follow the steel drums.
The festival begins with a raucous parade and includes five days devoted to the gods of steel drums, rum and reggae. The downtown lunch hour parties tempt office-dwellers to exchange their power-ties for Rasta caps. The main event is the Sunshine Festival held at Prince's Island Park, which draws huge crowds hoping that the music, spicy food and Caribbean arts and crafts will make them forget that Calgary lies under a blanket of snow for eight months of the year. Most events are free; Sunshine Festival tickets are CAD8 adults; CAD5 seniors; CAD2 children 5-12.

Where's the current dates? - Unlike other websites, CaribbeanChoice only publishes the official dates as released by the carnival organizer. Most other websites simply guess what next year's dates are. We don't do that. We want to make sure our information is as accurate as possible.
This page will be updated as soon as we get the official dates from the event organizer, or they post it on their official website, whichever comes first. Note: We haven't heard anything from this carnival in awhile. It may not be held anymore. If you have information about this carnival, please contact us.
