Dominica: Places to Go
The Botanical Gardens:
This is a must see sight and a site of a destroyed car that was slammed
into a tree. Its presence stands as a
reminder of Hurricane David in 1979. The tree is growing on the car.
Champagne:
An interesting site of volcanic activity that causes bubbles to come to
the top of the rocks.
Soufriere:
This area is surrounded with numerous sulphur springs.
Emerald Pool:
A grotto in the forest that catches the fancy of visitors and locals
alike.
Trafalgar Falls:
One of the more beautify and intriguing sites on the island.
Middleham Falls:
A lovely cascading waterfall in the interior of the rainforest.
Boeri Lake:
A crater lake in the Morne Trios Pitons National Park.
Cabrits National Park:
Situated in the vicinity of Portsmouth and home to fort Shirley.
