Wedding Information

Fees:$20.00 U.S

Requirements:

• Birth certificate(s) and legal Passports for the couple and any foreign witnesses
• Notarized letter from an attorney, legalized by their embassy stating that the person is of single status.
• U.S. citizens are required to write to the American Consulate in Santo Domingo, in advance of intended wedding date, requesting permission to marry (civil ceremony).
• Notarized copies of Divorce Decree or Death Certificate.
• Two witnesses must be present at the ceremony (with photo IDs)
• Documents must be translated into Spanish upon arrival
• Proof of divorce or death certificate, if applicable
• Parties must be at least 18 years of age

The Marriage certificate will be ready one day after the wedding.
