Subject: Recipe Section & Links Directory Cleaned Up

We are happy to announce that the recipe section and the links directory have been cleaned up.  Over the weekend, we removed hundreds of links that were not working or had some type of error. Hopefully we got them all.

Almost all of the recipe links in the recipe sections should be working now.  Some links to articles may still be broken.  We are working on that.  There may still be some links not working in the links directory, but we are working to get them all. We removed almost 1,000 non-working links over the weekend.

Subject: Private Messenger Fixed

Just wanted to let you know that we fixed the Private Messenger (PM) on CaribbeanChoice.  Before, messages were successfully send, but it incorrectly sent you to a 404 page.  Now it directs you back to the Outbox correctly.

We have successfully moved CaribbeanChoice to its new server!

For the next month or so, we will be going through the website to make sure that everything is working alright.  So far things are looking good.  Thanks for your patience during the server move, and thanks for being a continued part of CaribbeanChoice!

Subject: MOVING SERVERS! Website Will Be Down While Moving

We are moving our website to a new server in a new data center. This means that we will have to take the site down during the move. We apologize for the inconvenience, but it is something that we must do in order to restore CaribbeanChoice to its glory and to add new features.

We will keep you posted on developments.

After being down for almost a week, we have CaribbeanChoice back up again. We apologize for the down time. We are working behind the scenes to prevent this from happening again, however until we move to a new server, this may reoccur, although not for as long.

Subject: Website Restoration Progress Report

We have made some strides in restoring some of the data, but much of it will have to be restored by hand.

As part of our efforts to upgrade security and revitalize the site, wewill be upgrading the forums soon.  This week if everything goes well. No additional data will be lost, but some features my temporarilydisappear until we re-implement them.  The things that will be missingtemporarily will be customizations we have made, such as the flagsunder your avatar.

We know that some of you are having difficulty posting on the forums. This is because we had to clamp down on security so hard that certainthings wont work anymore.  For example, we have blocked the use ofcertain characters that the hacker needs to get into the system.  Ifyou use one of those characters, you get redirected to a 404 page.  Wecant reveal what characters they are for security reasons, but that iswhy you are prevented from posting sometimes.

When we upgrade to the latest version of the forums, which has bettersecurity, we can relax the restrictions and you will be able to postlike normal.

Please be patient.  We are working to restore the site as fast as possible.
