Well let me say first Aruba was beautiful, it is a small island right off the top tip of South America. The people that live there are some of the friendliest people I have ever met.
Pros of Aruba:
There are a few tourist site seeing areas that you can go to in Aruba, the first place that we went to was a place known as the Natural Bridge, it is a bridge made out of solid Rock that was made by mother nature her self.
The second place that we went to was a small Saint Replica there on the east side of the island, not much to see there but some statues of a Saint if you are interested in that kind of thing.
The third place that we went was to a Beach called Baby Beach. It is the only Beach on the island were topless women are allowed and other beach's it is not allowed. (I saw only 2 when we went during the day) :) That beach is the best beach on the island, not because of the women but because the water is so much clearer, because of the jetties that surround the beach. The beach is like 2 to 4ft deep about 50 yards out.
Other things that we did were, go to the Light House that is there on the island. We also went on a daytime boat cruise which was $35 and you were able to snorkel for an Hour, they also had a buffet and all you can drink open bar, along with a 3 hour boat ride. The we went on the Nighttime Party Boat the TATTOO that was $49.95, there was a lot of dancing and drinking on that boat, and night time swimming and a buffet.
The Con's of Aruba:
I wouldn’t really say these things are bad but here they go, the gas was $1.44 a liter, Food at the restraunts at the Hotels was expensive, DONT EAT THE CHINNESE FOOD, I got sick the next day along with 2 others in our group of 4. The island is small, once you go everywhere on the island you fell like, what else is there to do, so we spent the remaining days at the beach and the Casino. :) The TAX was 18%. Beer was $4 a bottle at most places(Bud Light) except at the Casinos it was FREE. :)
Other Info:
Rent A CAR the Island is so small u cant get lost, and they give you a little map. Car Rental was $35 a day for a economy car 4 people. Definitely eat at this little Restraunt on the main drag in town called Kings Rib's, they have GOOD BBQ. There are also plenty of Casino's at every Hotel. Its not like Vegas where the Casinos are huge, there are a few that are bigger than others though, my Favorite was "Halambra". We stayed at the Marriott, and it was like $180 a night. Definitely stay at a named Brand Hotel they are a lot nicer and on the water. The only useable phone card in Aruba is the AT&T international calling card. Internet access is like .30 cents a minute, at most places.
Over all I give Aruba 8 out of 10 Stars
Have Fun, Brian
