In this post, scrolljoe asked about how to quote people on the forum.

To quote someone else, place everything the other person said (that you want to quote) between [QUOTE ] and [/QUOTE ] and place everything you want to say either before [QUOTE ] or after [/QUOTE ]. You are allowed to have multiple quotes in a post, or even put quotes in a quote. When the post is displayed, it will place everything between [QUOTE ] and [/QUOTE ] in a quote box.
Note: I had to place a space between the E and the ] so that it wouldn't create a quote box. When you type it, do NOT put a space between the E and the ] or else it won't work.
If you forget to use both [QUOTE ] or [/QUOTE ] or misspell them, then it will print out the words instead of create a box, just like above, where I added a space.
If you press the Quote button, it automatically places that person's text between the quote tags, and you type your response before or after the quoted text.
Hopefully that helps. I've been meaning to write some help pages on that. This looks like a good start.
If you want to try it out, you can visit the Test Forum and play around with it.
