In a couple threads, reincarnation was mentioned.

Do you believe in reincarnation?

I think it might be possible, but I'm not convinced that it is something that happens to everyone.  I believe we are spiritual beings, but I am not sure we come back.

We must first recognise who we are. We are spiritual beings living in a spiritual world and governed by spiritual laws. Having laid that framework we must also know that these spiritual bodies must take on fleshly form to dwell on this earthplane. What is to kept foremost in the mind is the order of things : we are spirits with a carnal framework and not the opposite way around.

Now what happens at transition [so called death ]..the spirit casts off the earthly framework and returns to source [ the cosmic] where it goes through purification and reconditioning for return where it will again take on another earthly form. There has been a lot of New Age distortions of this subject.....................I recommend:Mansions of the Soul by H .Spencer Lewis. Very informative  from a knowledgeable source.

Lord ! help Thou her unbelief

When you shall have taken your place at the master's feet ..things that were hitherto hidden from kings and princesses ..the wise and the prudent..shall be added unto you. Enter therein and listen to thy silence.

Listen up ! The bible as you have come to know it is a Sexed up piece of literature done by King James and his 47 wise men in 1611. Before him Elizabeth  the Fist tried but died  before much was done. What's the purpose ?..so that a bible , devoid of many truths, will be in use for the common folk . It will be very surprising to know who bankrolled the venture.

While the bible  known as the King James Version has no direct reference to the word Reincarnation I can cite you a potent reference...: Jesus had just come down from the mountain and was greeted by his disciples. He questioned : whom do the people say I am ? In reply they answered that some said Elias or one of the old prophets come again. Some said Moses .He did not reprimand them as nonsense concerning 'Elias or one of the old prophets come again'..lending credibility that 'coming again' was a prevailing idea in his time. Just like the Deep Web..that Hidden Web we must go beyond King James and his magi..we must go even beyond the Latin Vulgate..we must find the source of Truth. And lest you think otherwise ,I firmly believe in God that surrounds and enfolds me ...in whom I live and dwell and have my being. The Rastaman says : "Itate and the Father will reveal"...U still deh bout ?..Peace.

[Scott's quote: "Do you believe in reincarnation?"]

Reincarnation is the rebirth of the soul in one or more successive existences, which may be human, animal, or in some instances, vegetable. I must agree with ilam96's coment. The Bible does not speak of re-incarnation therefore I don't believe it.

The Bible does speak of a resurrection. Jesus said: "Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice and come outóthose who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned." (John 5:28, 29 NIV)
