    Posted: 06 Mar 2006 at 2:45pm
Tonight, March 6, 2006, we will be moving the web server to its (hopefully) final destination.  In theory, the website should not go down during the transfer because of the way we are transferring it, but it is possible that you may experience some problems.

Our e-mail, however, will be down for most of the night / early morning.   That means that if you e-mail us while its down, your e-mail will either bounce (be returned to you unsent) or be delayed.  If its delayed, you might receive warning messages in your e-mail telling you that your e-mail will be resent later.

Also, note, due to the e-mail being down, any e-mail related feature of the website will not work.  So e-mail notifications and send-to-a-friend and other similar things will not work during the outage.

The e-mail will be down starting late tonight and hopefully be working again very early in the morning.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but hopefully this change will be for the better and result in faster and more reliable service.

If something is urgent and our e-mail is down, you can e-mail me at [deleted] or call me at 1-800-350-9863.  Once our e-mail is back up, continue to use my regular e-mail address as usual.

Thanks,

Scott M. Stolz

Just another update on the sever move.

Everything seems to be working after the transfer to the new web server.  Most people will see the changes immediately, but some won't see the new server for 24 to 72 hours, due to the way the internet works.  So it is possible that you experience slowness or not see the site at all.  If so, you or your ISP is using an old cached version of our IP address which should update itself with the latest version (the correct one) in 24 to 72 hours.  Most people, however, shouldn't have any problems.

We'll still have to do a couple more things in a couple weeks, but for the most part the hard part of the transfer is complete.

If you see anything that is not working on the site, please let me know.  Hopefully I haven't missed anything, but if I did, tell me so I can fix it.

Thanks,

Scott
