Some water bottles are now labeled "P.W.S."
The new labels will spell out "public water source"
if that's where your water is coming from.

A group called Corporate Accountability International has been pressuring bottled water sellers to curb what it calls misleading marketing practices.

I'm not really concerned whether or not it comes from a public water source or not.  My biggest concern is where it is has been filtered and is clean.  Just because it comes from a Spring doesn't mean it's clean.  I check to see if it has been filtered, and if so, how.

When I lived in the country, I drank well water and it was pure and clean fed from underground springs.  It wasn't filtered, but it tasted clean.

Now that I live in the city, I drink bottled water or filtered tap water.  I don't trust the tap water.

Patti’s Recipes

I drink tap water in England and  also when I'm in Ireland as does everyone else ,its become fashionable to drink bottled water in both countries but totally  unnecessary as tap water has been proven to be less contaminated  and purer than the  bottled sort .(At present in parts of England due to flooding its not advisable to drink tap water but thats the exception rather than the rule.)
