KINGDOM GAMES 2007

From the 21st until the 27th of July 2007 the Kingdom Games take place in
The Hague. More than 300 sportsmen (12-17 years) compete in seven different
sports: baseball, bowling, soccer, judo, softball, swimming and tennis.

Respect and fraternization are the central themes of the Games. Winning is the purpose, but contact between Aruba, the Netherlands Antilles, and the Netherlands is the reason for one big party.

It all starts with a spectacular show in the city centre on the 21st of July. At the 'Spuiplein' the games will officially be opened with the arrival of the three delegations accompanied by many musical artists.

The 22nd of July you can choose to visit the Kijkduin Beach Resort for activities which are linked to the Kingdom Games or visit the first mathes of the Kindom Games which include an exciting combination of Baseball and Softball at the Storks Ballpark nearby Kijkduin.

During the rest of the week the games will continue at various venues in The Hague. Don't miss the Softball final on Friday 27th. This game will be followed by a closing ceremony where you might catch a glimpse of our special guest of the day: Her Majesty Queen Beatrix.
