bullet Calendar Event: Battle of the Islands October 2007
    Posted: 01 Oct 2007 at 1:18am

Battle of the Islands II!

A little friendly competition to see who can vote their flag to the top!

A New Way to Vote!

Now you can vote for your favorite flag simply visiting CaribbeanChoice while logged in or by posting in the forum!

  • Step 1:  Register to Vote
To have your votes count for the flag you chose, you must register to vote!  Visit this page and select which flag you want to vote for!

  • Step 2: Post in the Forum or Visit Specially Marked Pages
Every time you post in the forum, 10 votes are automatically credited toward the flag you chose in the Battle of the Islands.  You must be logged in for the votes to count.

This new way to vote will help reduce the load on the web server (the reason why you sometimes could not reach the website) and also reward those who participate on CaribbeanChoice.

More ways to vote will be posted here soon!

Traditional Way: Voting in the Poll

Due to the web server being overloaded by people voting too fast or too many people voting at the same time, we have limited multiple voting by poll.

You may vote in this poll 10,000 times via this poll.  Once you have reached 10,000 votes, the only way to increase your votes after that is to post in the forum.  Please note that it is 10,000 votes per person, not per username.  Voting an additional 10,000 times with a different username will cause your votes to be deleted.

Voting too fast will result in an error.  Just slow down and you should be fine.

Current Stats

To see the current statistic presented in an easier to read format, visit the main Battle of the Islands page.

Let the Battle Begin!

and Good Luck!

Hahahah,  Shuc you won the bet.  You are right. !!!!.
Is not for nothing you are an masonry member.

But I going to tell you this.   My personal thoughts:
It is no such thing as too many people voting too fast !!! HAHAHAHAHA
The problem is that people are putting pressure on the admin.
" Please admin we want to win too "
Our admin is weak !!!!!!
When he punish us. They all including him was happy.  And they reunited and vote for on flag. But it was different.
Then our weak admin put two flags on the summery because he will not congrats the winner flag anymore. Because they pressure him.
Then he makes changes of limed votes every month.

Then he say about user names.

He is SCOTT, WISTEX, WISTEX 2, WISTEX 42, also I think that he is WORLD_42,

So he is multiple user

So he is under so many pressure of other people that he must do those thing. He is weak.
Now they reunited and decided that they all is going to vote for the pirate flag.
So they can bring down the NR 1 flag. And to do that he must change the rules every time. Every month.

Also he begging me in a PM, please give other a change to win the battle.        WEAK WEAK!!!!!!!!!!!

Now cute qua cute they must reach there goals.
He is weak.  Our admin is super weak.

Since he punish me (unfair) , when I came back, I never molested no one. But he makes me laugh when he does such BS thing.

So I put my personal thoughts. And I don't care if he banned me out of the site. Because when he does it I diffidently know that he have an weak mind. And only by doing that they can win there goals.

That is my personal thoughts.

Gernuar

THE PIRATE FLAG NEVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*ps.  Shuc you will have my salary for 3 days. But this is the last time for the CC matter.

Gernuar,

The purpose of the battle is to attract people to CaribbeanChoice.  The issue is not really that Aruba wins the battle, it is that ONE PERSON can single-handedly win the battle every month.  When one person constantly wins the battle, it reduces participation and fun and also reduces the fairness of the battle.

You call me weak.  Well, that is your prerogative.  I am actually standing up for the intention and purpose of the battle, which is to bring people to CaribbeanChoice and for the battle to be fun for the most people, not just 2 people.  If I was weak, I would let people do whatever the hell they wanted to, including you.

I really don't care who wins the battle.  But I do care that one person dominating the battle limits participation on CaribbeanChoice.

The issue is not Aruba winning, the issue is that one person can come in and in one night have 10 times the votes of people who have been contributing to the site all month.

If you had a dozen people here every month voting for Aruba, then we would be very very happy that Aruba wins.  When one person constantly gets 10 times the votes as everyone else, other people stop participating, which harms the site.

It is an issue of contributing to CaribbeanChoice.  The people who post on a regular basis are contributing more than someone who comes one night a month and votes 50,000 times in one night.

This is why the battle is being adjusted.  We would rather have more people participate than have one person dominate the battle every month.  And since the intention of the battle has ALWAYS been to attract more people to CaribbeanChoice, our adjustments are in line with the purpose of the battle.

Personally, I think you are trying to get banned, and are doing everything in your power to provoke me and upset others.  For what reason, I am not sure.

Maybe you mistake power for being a bully and a jerk, because quite frankly, that is what you are being.

Power and strength comes from standing for principles, and the principles I am standing for are fairness, respect and participation on CaribbeanChoice.  Your actions violate those principles, and because I am strong, I stand up for those principles.

It's also interesting that you say I am weak.   Are you saying that I would be strong if I kissed your butt and ignored our other guests who contribute to the site more than you?  Are you saying that anyone who disagrees with you is weak?  Or are you saying that I would become strong by ignoring the principles that CaribbeanChoice stands for?

But I guess no matter what I do, I would be wrong in your eyes.  If I am excessively strong and run the place like a dictator, you would complain I am too strong.  If I listen to our visitors and guests and do what is best for the community as a whole, then I am weak.

It appears the only way I could win is if I sided with you on every issue, and if I did, that would make me weakest of all.

I don't know why you are trying to turn this into a pissing contest.

I enjoyed it when you participated on the site and contributed.  I get very annoyed when you are a jerk and being disrespectful of me and others.

I am going to do what is best for the site and the community.  Like it or not.

I don't think it will have to be reduced that much.  It depends.  The purpose of the reduction is to encourage others to participate and reduce the chance of one person dominating the battle every month.

We'd rather have 10 people voting for Aruba, like you had when you first came to CaribbeanChoice, than have one person dominate every month.

When one person has 50,000 votes, and the next person only has 5,000, people don't even bother voting, which reduces participation, which hurts the site.

We are simply trying to increase participation.

I actually don't care who wins the battle.  But many people have started voting for the pirate flag to challenge Aruba.  I think that is good.  It increases participation.

Do what you want to do........ !!!!
Lets make everybody happy.

What I wrote was my personal thought.
You don't need to kiss any body's ass.  (You are rough)  Just be coool bro !!!

You begin to make issues here.... I just putting my thoughts... what I'm thinking here.  Because every time you got a problem with the same person. (me) And frankly I don't know why. But it's OK with me. My shoulder is wide enough.
You say about being an dictator.  I remember that you tell me that the CC is not an democratic site.  So you are the sheriff here..!!!

And just for your info: Maybe I'm a jerk and a bully (rough language again), but not a suck-up.

Like it or not.

(ps. rough language is not permitted in the rulles...... Ooohh  only the admin can speak so.   And what is the punishment for the admin ??????????)
