Welcome back Make Alive.

Yes, every day is a miracle, and it is good to be alive.  No matter how desperate the situation, have faith, and things will work out.

If you look for the good, you tend to get more good.  If you look for the bad, you tend to get more bad.  And even when it is bad, there are still much to be grateful for.

Very good links Roggy ... for example, university student exchange ... a lot of our doctors & dentists & engineers  are trained there, cultural exchange (theater, dance, music, etc), environmental issues (eg. endangered sea turtles) and political ones too ... am sure most people has realized that the Cold war is over and it has become a very pluralistic society today ... the progressive societies are pulling the best qualities of the various ideologies and doing great things for their citizens ... Canada is such an example, we have a unique health and social support network that is the envy of many and it is also a thriving free market economy ...  I know many of the Scandinavian countries are doing similar and has led the way in fact.

Unfortunately, a lot of hate was sown during the Cold War and it will take generations to purge our communities psyche ... I do have great hope though as I see very engaged youth working on a healthy and just communities globally  ... you know what a powerful force the mind is, so imagine when populations combined have that influence ... the impact is gigantic ... it is the same if we choose love!

And, as a nation we will not be told who we would choose as friends ... we are adults!!

Your grandmother was ahead of her times (genius) Make Alive ... believe it, as she is right ... these are the current thoughts explored in psychology and contemporary spirituality today ... our thoughts and belief systems have profound impact on our everyday lives and ultimately our happiness.

In essence, we are creating our own evolution ... this is big ... means that we do have control on the nature of the society we choose to live in  ... in all spheres ... the ideas are supported in traditional religions but put in prophetic ways for lack of a better word.

You are lucky to have been influenced by such a wise woman.

Oefsss...I think  that if there's a problem, there'll always be a solution .
If there is no solution , is because it is not a problem.

Roggy you are right, the people are the power ... never lose sight of it.

Secondly, because the island nations are so small in all things ... decisions are impacted immediately and so are the people's response ... people in Grenada are very politically aware ... there is high  participation unlike in the affluent societies.
