Rogerka, I'm two months on the treadmill, working up a sweat 45 mins. to 1 hour. I go on the scale and I still weigh the same as when I started.    I guess it's the age thing, huh. No, I'm not stuffing my face. As a matter of fact, I'm eating much less...no pasta...lots of veggies...hmmm. I wonder if it's the cheese. Naw...

I'm not overweight, and am pretty healthy. I just want to develop a habit so that I can stay that way. It'll last maybe a month. Then I skip a day or two, which turns into a week or two and then a month or two before I start the vicious cycle all over again. I know what you mean, allin. Do it just to stay healthy even if you're not overweight. I started mine to lose the extra 30 lbs. I'd gained. I've lost some, my clothes are baggy, especially around my waistline. I've been at it for 5 months now. Sometimes I do not want to exercise, but if I don't for a day, I tell myself that I've gained 10 lbs. I'm doing it for health now. A person must be dedicated to keep it up.   I've been exercising all my life. I stopped for a couple of years, but now I'm back full time.

Well, I'm happy to say that I've lost 5 lbs. From 140 I'm down to 135. So you see, exercise works. I've whittled down my waist to 26 inches. One or two more inches to go.

Vutje, you do not have to pay for exercise...well...you pay for equipment if you're going to use them. Walking is free. You can also exercise in the privacy of your house. Do jumping jacks, skip rope, etc. You can also follow the exercise programs on the boob tube. I don't like to do that because I can't seem to get the hang of the moves. I do calisthenics and treadmill. I only invested in the treadmill because it was on sale. I love it, though.

I'm still at it. I stopped for a couple of months. Just started back last month. I'm down to 130-132. Now I'm exercising for my health. Not to lose weight.
