Topic: Shipping Barrels from the Midwest Posted: 29 Nov 2008 at 9:58pm
Hey folks
Does anyone know any companies that ship barrels from the midwest? Especially Trinidad or Jamaica. I'm in Kansas City but would be willing to drive a bit.

Alas I found that this was the case. Shippers do not have offices throughout the US. Only in the port cities i.e. miami, fort lauderdale, atlanta, dallas, new york, DC
I was referred to a shipping company who would pick up a barrel and ship it either to the country or to an independent shipper who deals with our region. One thing though...they do not supply the cardboard barrels. great right?
So if I do pursue this route I will have to purchase a barrel online, pack it, send it to the shipper or ship it directly (ABR ships directly to Trinidad). General quote for a 55 gallon drum is about $425.
Given whatever you might be shipping that may or may sense
