Interesting ... some of the terms I have never encountered in my life ... makes one wonder what we are getting for an education nowadays ... guess one can argue that it has to do with relevance and context ... its a very different world we now share ... 

funny is, that our (Slovak) pupils must have a lot of such level knowledge. We learn a lot of encyklopeaedic knowledge and we are under-estimated to say own opinion... For example our grammar is soooo difficult.

I think that with the spreading of internet, pupils started to be more selfconfident. They contact whole world, speak foreign languages, search for information and know a lot. That's fine.
