Calendar Event: Battle of the Islands - November 2009 Posted: 04 Nov 2009 at 6:06pm |
Battle of the Islands IVA little friendly competition to see who can vote their flag to the top! The new battle of the islands is designed to show who is the most active on CaribbeanChoice. How to Earn VotesYou can earn votes in a variety of way: - Vote in the poll above (limit 1000 votes per month per person)
- Visit the forums daily.
- Visit the rest of the website daily.
- Posting on the forum.
- Adding events to our events calendar.
- Adding recipes to the recipe section.
- Adding restaurants and businesses to our restaurant & business guide (coming soon!)
- and more ways to come!
We
were hoping to have the restaurant guide and add a recipe up by the
1st, but its not quite done. Give us a few more days and those new
ways to vote will be available. Register Your FlagTo have your actions count towards votes*, you need to register your flag on the Battle Settings page or on the Welcome Page. *Voting
in the poll does not require you to register your flag. Simply select
the flag above and click on Cast My Vote. All other voting methods
require you to register your flag. Current StatsTo see the current statistic presented in an easier to read format, visit the main Battle of the Islands page. Let the Battle Begin!
and Good Luck!

This month, in honor to the return of the Battle of the Islands, we have added a new country, the Conch Republic, which has a fascinating history. While technically not in the Caribbean (neither is The Bahamas, by the way), the Conch Republic is an island near The Bahamas, and does represent the spirit of CaribbeanChoice. Be sure to read their facinating history to see what I mean. :) The Battle is Back! Enjoy!

I think CC can give a nice Certificate for the top voters.....1st 2nd and 3rd with some extra votes ...100 votes.....50 votes...25 votes....so you can take it to the next month battle to start with... That was me thinking LOL

We are actually thinking of removing the poll all together. In the past it has caused more problems than anything. It's better to reward people from taking actions on the website, like posting in the forum or visiting daily or adding recipes.
