Scott you are so right...there is a need to be careful. At one point they said eggs were good for you..then they said while eggs are good the yolk is bad...then they came back and said the yolk is very nutritious...just don't eat too much since they are high in cholesterol.

I don't know what they're talking about, Tagruz. The egg yolk is the best part of the egg. I used to love hard-boiled eggs. I never had poached eggs because I'd never eat raw eggs. Yuk! Now I don't eat them at all.

True that, Sandy. I love hard boiled eggs...love em.  But I guess being a vegetarian you have to leave the chicken alone.  Because if you can eat an egg as a vegetarian you might as well eat a whole chicken.

So right. I hear there's egg substitute but I've never tried it. What can you substitute for egg?

I would say any thing that's packed with protein.  Legumes, Flax and other seeds, nuts, vegetables and so on.

For baking purposes you can use Condensed Milk, Bananas, Soy Milk, apple sauce, etc.

I meant what can those money-making manufacturers make that can take the place of eggs.

I love peas, beans, nuts. I use flaxseed so I'm okay for pretein. I don't bake, but I used to make a mean veggie lasagna. Mmmmmmmmm good!

I am a vegetarian, not a vegan; I do eat salmon and sardines. Even though we eat the "right foods"? we still have to be very selective. What’s right for one may not be right for others. Some fruits and vegetables may contribute to system Inflammation as a result of the high acidic foods we eat. I have to stay away from, Bell peppers, Melons, Eggplants and other foods of the nightshade family. Like you and others, I want to be a very active, healthy, spirit filled and vibrant centenarian. PSS:Diet is only one fourth of the equation. Let’s continue to work on the rest.

I take them all the time. If I don't have vitamins, it's like something is missing from my life.
