Freedom ... tell us what freedom of expression means to you ... your immediate thought when you see or hear the word ...
Write it ... say it .. photograph it ... sing it ... paint it ... video it ...
Am soooooooooooooo interested ... I can't contain myself ...

wooow, freedom of expression is something what we are learning in Slovakia. and I enjoy it. My parents and grandparents couldn't say what they wanted. the regime was hard. I like to express myself by say what I want and think, my opinion, attitude, my lifestyle. to be myself, live my way.. I used clothing like my expression.
It goes hand in hand with tolerance and responsibility for our freedom.
that's what we have to learn the most.
Sometime I can't tolerate people with wrong opinions. I try to explain them why I think they are wrong. But I mean clearly wrong. Like 40% of Slovak voters vote wrong politicians. Everyone who has at least 100 IQ should see it clearly (grrrr). I don't get it. That's the disadvantage of democracy - even when the majority is wrong, all have to live according to their decision.
Peace out

Thanks for sharing Roggy ... interesting too that one has to learn to be free ... had never looked at that perspective ... wow ... very interesting ... and here in my province where apathy reign supreme there are a lot who think we could well lose our democracy ... fascinating ...

I did wear poilitically inspired tees in my youth alot ... rarely do now, and am not sure why ... mabe a bit of apathy ... I never wear clothing that advertises a brand ... would not pay for such an item for that matter ... in my way of thinking, labels belong inside of the garment unless am a paid model!
My tee shirts nowadays are about comfort ... not so much a political statement ... I have found other means to affect change ... and without being type caste or stereotyped ... interesting discussion Roggy ... thanks for engaging me ... Wink

You are so right about that, Roggy.

No matter how much we try, I don't think that we are free to do and say what's on our minds.

I was several times against the stream.
once at the doctor... we waited with other patients and they was saying very wrong opinions... like minister is responsible for vacation of doctor. what? gosh, I had to talk. and I was almost beaten because I voted another party (and therefore I have a bit more intelligence)
or yesterday I defensed muslims and Arab world. against everyone involved in the discussion. I remembered Chimamanda Adichie (single story).
I feel proud when I don't betray conscience.
Peace out
