Awesome Ping Anser Forged Irons

The Ping Anser Forged Irons has a forged, multi-metal body. The 8620 steel body of these Ping golf clubs teams with dense tungsten sole and machined grooves to deliver better forgiveness. The progressive set design of the Ping Anser irons offer control and stability. The ID 8 grip of this iron set provides optimal control with an amazing feel. These Ping golf clubs improve a golfer’s performance with their technology-based design. I have never played forged before, but I received mine today and got to hit at the range. They feel great off the face – very soft feel (compared to traditional cast Pings), they are very long and ball flight is low due to the stronger lofts (chart below). I find these much more pleasant to hit than my S59s and have great forgiveness for a blade like iron. At address, it has a thin top line but unlike the S59 it has a wider sole.  All in all I would recommend trying these out at your golf store. Pricey but worth it. Bought a second set (new) with project X rifle 6.0 shafts recently and using the used set for practice 9-hole, range, rainy weather.
