History of Cultural Communities

Canada can certainly be observed with a national perspective, but on closer inspection, we see that the picture of the country is the assembly of the histories of peoples and of communities that find their individual heritage in the events, challenges and victories of the past. Their histories tell the story of the land, of the sea, of the cities, of communications among people, of similarities and of differences. They provide the key to help us understand what makes this improbable country the diverse yet harmonious place that it is.

The links in this section give insight into the histories of http://www.culture.ca/explore-explorez-e/Heritage/Cultural-Histories/Aboriginal - Aboriginal peoples , and people from all over the globe who have created history in every region of Canada.
