Sightseeing
La Cascade aux Excrevisses:
A short trail that takes you to the lovely waterfall that cascades into a pool. This is great for a day of picnicking and swimming.
Cabet Waterfalls:
A collection of falls, this trail is well kept and easy to maneuver. To get to all three falls it takes about 5 hours of average hiking.
La Maison de la Foret:
Explore the rainforest on this tour and come to know the various trees and shrubs that is a part of this House of the forest.
Saut d'Acomat:
A short and very step tail takes you to the waterfall. Extra care is recommended on this trail.
Saut de la Lezarde:
The reward at the end of this trail is the waterfall. To get to there
you first go through a banana plantation and then through the rainforest
with a relatively hard hike. But it is worth it for the beauty of it and
the pleasure of swimming in the pool that was formed at the end of the
fall. It is worth every minute of the hike.
There are at just about 50 beaches on the island. Most of the beaches
are easily accessable by foot or by vehicle. The beaches are a collection
of colors as some you can find white sand, brown sand or black sand. It is
a testimony of the harmony of the island and it's natural beauty and the
spirit of the people.
