1 oz butter 4 ripe bananas
4 large thin slices of ham 1 tsp french mustard
2 tblsp flour 1/2 pint of milk 4ozs grated cheese
METHOD / DIRECTIONS:
Peel bananas, then spread each ham slice with mustard and wrap the bananas in the ham. Melt butter, stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute. Remove from heat and gradually stir in the milk, a little at a time. Add cheese and return to heat. Cook, stirring until sauce is smooth and thick. Arranged the ham wrapped bananas in a shallow, greased casserole dish. Pour over the sauce and bake in a moderate oven at Gas mark 5 for 10 - 15 mins.
