Vote for your Country in the Battle of the Islands! Pan-Fried Fillet of Fish with Passion Sauce

 Recipe      

Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Serves: 4

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 Pounds (1 Kilogram) butter fish fillet
  • 1⁄4 Cup grace white vinegar
  • 4 Cups water
  • 1 Teaspoon salt
  • 1 Teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 Teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1⁄2 Cup milk
  • 1⁄2 Cup all purpose flour
  • 1⁄2 Cup grace cornmeal
  • 1 Cup Grace Vegetable Oil

METHOD / DIRECTIONS:

  1. Clean fish in a mixture of Grace White Vinegar and water and cut into serving size pieces.

  2. Combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder and milk, mix well and set aside.

  3. Coat pieces of fish with flour, dip each piece in the milk mixture then coat with cornmeal.

  4. Heat Grace Vegetable Oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry fish on one side for about 4 minutes then turn over each piece and fry on the other side until done.

  5. Drain on absorbent paper.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS:

Serve with Strawberry Passion Sauce.
