Getting to Trinidad & Tobago
PORT OF SPAIN
Port of Spain is the capital city of Trinidad. It has a population of approximately 500,000 people. This city is
set on the sea and sheltered by hills. This city is best seen on foot, starting from the 200 acre Queens Park
Savannah and going in any direction you will be able to appreciate the elaborate architecture. However other
excellent means of getting around are by buses or by various forms of taxis.
San Fernando
Trinidad’s second largest city is a thriving commercial center a maze of hilly winding streets. Good shopping and
restaurants. Statues of Mahatma Ghandi, the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and Afro Caribbean hero Marcus
Garvey. The summit of San Fernando Hill gives fabulous views in all directions.
Scarborough
Scarborough is the capital city of Tobago. It has a population of approximately 10,000 people. In comparison to
Port of Spain this is a laid back city.
