The Philadelphia Multi-Cultural Carnival Association (PMCCA) is a non-profit Community Development Corporation founded in 1999. The organization is dedicated to promoting the Caribbean Culture through artistic expression of music, dance and art form.
It was formed to bridge the gap and foster an atmosphere of cooperation and cultural understanding between the diverse Caribbean ethnic groups that reside in the Greater Philadelphia area and the Delaware Valley. To that end, PMCCA’s mission is to develop and provide arts-based community and public school programs to educate youth, adolescents and adults about the richness of the Caribbean culture.
The annual Philly Carnival is used as the catalyst to stimulate interest, encourage involvement, and to showcase the educational components of Caribbean art forms and culture through this celebration of life and freedom.

Where's the current dates? - Unlike other websites, CaribbeanChoice only publishes the official dates as released by the carnival organizer. Most other websites simply guess what next year's dates are. We don't do that. We want to make sure our information is as accurate as possible.
This page will be updated as soon as we get the official dates from the event organizer, or they post it on their official website, whichever comes first.
Note: Many carnival organizers don't post their dates until 3 to 6 months in advance. (You usually can guess when it will be next year by looking at last year's dates, but that is not always the case.)
